Self-Portrait Triptych
Anxiety and dissociation are struggles I've had to manage throughout my life. It has affected me in both destructive and accomplishing ways. This triptych is a self-portrait series using photo-manipulation to depict the feeling I get when I experience a panic attack and the consisting stages. I want to portray the feeling of being distorted and detached from one’s mind, body and eventually reality; which is what I experience when I have an episode. With that in mind, I want my viewers to emerge in whatever emotions they feel and try to connect with the moment.
